The Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources, (Upstream), Ifeanyi Ubah, has said the current visa policy of the Chinese government in Nigeria is defective.
He said the current arrangement, if not immediately reversed, could affect a smooth multinational cooperation between Nigeria and China.
Uba, in a statement made available to our Correspondent in Abuja on Monday, expressed worry over the recurrent visa refusal cases being experienced by Nigerians at the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria.
He, therefore, called for an urgent action to reverse the trend in the interest of both countries.
Ubah noted that the lingering visa refusal cases often serve as stumbling block to genuine and reputable businessmen and women who have commercial ventures in China.
